A New Beginning for Quest

Andrew  |  January 19

When Don and I opened Quest Brewing in the summer of 2013, we had a goal to become a treasured local brewery. Our aim was to make the highest-quality, best-tasting, and most unique brews in the region. We are pleased to say that our craft beer community has embraced the abnormal beers we produce such as our Ponce Cucumber Jalapeño Saison and our Melusine Bière de Garde. We thank each one of our customers, distributors, and retailers for their role in our success. However, no journey is without its pitfalls and our story is no different.

Before our first anniversary, we began to roll out our Legendary Series into cans. This accelerated growth was a bold move that brought to light issues stemming from our brewing ingredients. As many of you know, we have had pressure issues with our cans that have led them to bulge, foam, or even become compromised if in the right environment. After much research and even more trial & error, we determined the culprit of our can-stability problem was bad yeast. We have since switched yeast providers and have had ALL batches lab-tested to ensure that our beer is as stable in the market as possible. Quality control has become our number one goal moving forward.

As some of you may know, our brewery was funded as a result of the tragic death of my brother, Sean. I take the image and reputation of our brewery to heart. I am constantly at work trying to make our brewery a success not only for my family, Don, and our staff. I want to make it great for Sean. His memory lives on in every drop he helped create. That is why it is so important for us to right the ship and continue to better our products.

So it is with the utmost sincerity, we ask for your forgiveness. As a consumer, you have more options than ever to choose from and we ask for a second chance. As a retailer, we appreciate your continued support and apologize for any problems that arose from our products. We understand that we can only make a first impression once. That is the uphill battle we are up against to regain the ground lost from bad experiences. However, our company is young and is headed in the right direction. We feel strongly that we are a better company because we have learned from our mistakes and have them in the rear-view mirror. Give our products another shot. Support a local, community-driven company. After all, our quest for great beer is far from over.
