Rum Barrel-Aged Imperial Pecan Porter

STYLE:Imperial Porter




This big barrel-aged brew is a higher-gravity  version of our Winter seasonal, Yuyum Pecan Porter.  We set this beer away in first-use Nicaraguan rum barrels for 8 months, which adds hints of oak and booze.  This beer features a big, robust body with additions of molasses and brown sugar in the boil.  During secondary fermentation, we add Madagascar vanilla beans to add to the complexity.
